Quick Update

It is only 9 at night but I doubled some of my meds to help me sleep and relax. I have a Medial Branch Block tomorrow afternoon for my back and I am very worried about it. Every time a needle goes into my spine and near my nerves and spinal cord it sends me to the ER for pain control. They normally do these in and out and go quickly. I am having minor sedation before the injection so I can stay calm. They also want an IV in my so they can give me IV pain meds immediately if it is needed. They will be putting a steroid on my nerves and spinal area. There is a small area in there that is a joint and it could be causing the pain. We will know after the procedure. We also will be prepared to rush to North for pain control at the hospital if it doesn't work. This pain is BRUTAL! It will cause me to want to vomit, sweat from head to toe, the room will get dizzy and if it is bad I can easily pass out from the pain. We want to avoid that. Again, I would rather give birth to a 23 pound baby with no meds!

Other things are going well....

Bear is SO fun right now. He is in my favorite stage right now. My favorite is when he slides off our bed-feet first- and lands on his feet and then laughs and laughs!

He is also climbing stairs (not necessarily going down them). He is more talkative lately.- wants to talk so much. My favorite is when we are playing in the living room with his toys. I interact with him off and on but I also want him to explore a bit too. But the best is when he crawls over to me, up my legs and lifts his arms up. All he wants is a hug. What a sweet boy. I am MADLY IN LOVE WITH THIS KID LATELY.

OH- OTHER BIG news-
I got rid of my convertible........is was sad. But we got a minivan. It is used but in perfect condition. It is a life saver for my back. I went from my dream car of the G6 hardtop convertible to my new dream vehicle- a minivan.

Anyway- meds are kickin' in and kitties are ready to cuddle so I am off to bed.

Another Sleeping Photo

He was playing in his pack and play while mom took a shower- and fell asleep.

Maple Grove Maze

A few weeks ago we went to the Maple Grove Maze. There were a lot of big kids in there but they have a 2 years and younger section. Brandon wasn't too sure about the slide- even though mom helped.

Give me more....

UHHHH...as if things aren't going well enough!

Brandon's blood tests came back today and he has a hefty load of iron deficiency anemia. They think it is his diet. We have taken him off baby foods and the table foods (even though he scarfs them down) doesn't supply him with the right amounts of iron. We haven't been pushing meats either so we will enforce that more often and see if we can get his iron back up.

They will re-test in a month and hope the levels have increased. Otherwise they will do more blood work and tests!

I think we can work with his diet to get these levels up!

Just something wonderful I needed to hear today!
