Brandon
Despite our crazy weekend we laughed a lot. Some new things or facts about Brandon?
* B. will always cough two times before he sneezes
* He hasn't rolled over all the way yet but only rolls to his left
* His new tickle spot is right below his belly button
* He is very ticklish when he gets changed. The cool wipes make him laugh
* He now laughs when you pucker your lips and shake your head at him
* He is learning bye-bye. He will open his hand a little bit
* He is still totally in love with dad. He is mellow with mom but when he sees dad he kicks and flares his arms and gets really excited.
* He knows the sound of his bottle being shaken up. It will stop any crying immediately
* He loves water- he loves to splash and get his whole face wet
* He stares at the cats. He knows there is more than one and will follow them. They also know him and cuddle with him when he naps on the couch.
* He loves books- he knows how to open them and turn pages. He thinks they are food too!
* He still wants some new toys for Christmas...a new cell phone, moms glasses would work!
* He knows what NO means. He knows not to grab hair. When he does we gently grab his forearm with a squeeze and say NO in a low firm voice and he lets go. Use this if he ever pulls your hair.
* His fav. new veggie is Peas (like his mom- totally not his dad)
* He doesn't like very sweet things. He doesn't like cold things (juice).
* He will drink water if he is really thirsty/hungry- otherwise he want his formula.
* He doesn't like sippy cups. He doesn't get how they work. We are still trying.
* When he is tired he will stop everything and start whining/crying. That is our cue. We roll him on his side with a nuk and pat a few times on his butt. He will fall right asleep. It is almost like that whine/cry is saying, "I'm ready to sleep. Please lay me on my side and give me my nuk."
* He likes sitting in the shopping cart- not his car seat anymore.
* He is most talkative right after he eats. That is when he is happiest too.
I am sure I will think of more...just some neat things we noticed about him this weekend.

Chaos Weekend
Can I just say this past weekend was the MOST CHAOTIC weekend EVER!
Friday night we had fun as a family buying dad new shoes for his work. He needs comfy ones since he is on his feet all day. We have been horrible parents and let Brandon sleep with dad on the couch- we all sleep better that way. We decided to break that habit this weekend and use his crib. HA HA HA!!! The joke was on us. Brandon was awake what seemed to be ALL NIGHT LONG. Dad got to bed around 4am and mom around 6am for a whole 2 hours of sleep.
Saturday consisted of:
a very cold day
a poopy diaper up the back
a nice long bath in the new inflatable ducky tub
mom cleaning the bathroom while B. was in the ducky tub playing
Tubby (cat) knocking over water all over moms alarm, remote controls, books, glasses, bed, etc.
Tubby getting a little spank for doing that
Tubby getting back at mom by peeing on her side of the bed- not just pee but PEE- the size of a large pizza.
Mom drying a wet and cold baby only to be peed on
Mom showing Tubby who is boss by giving her a bath.
Tubby still trying to prove to mom she is in charge by soaking mom and the entire bathroom.
Mom gives up and lets Tubby run wet.
The other cats run from mom in fear that they were next to get wet
Mom walks around the couch while Tubby runs towards her and mom steps on Tubby's paw with a boot on- poor Tubby.
Mom gives her all in cleaning the bed with a Kirby. That thing weighs more than me!
The Kirby doesn't like mom and spills dirty water everywhere.
Mom gives up and together her and B. leave to visit dad at work.
Mom, Dad, and B. enjoy lunch together-B.s' lunch was a little late because the bottle spilled all over the diaper bag.
Dad goes back to work. Mom and B. go shop for some small Christmas gifts. All is well.
Mom and B. decide to surprise dad and clean the cat boxes so he doesn't have to!
Mom snaps the dirty liter bag on something (not knowing it) and dirty liter leaks out the bag while mom carries it to the garbage. There is a path of liter down the stairs through the living room and kitchen into the garage.
Mom starts cleaning the liter. B's on the bed upstairs playing- pillows surround him.
B. falls over- bonks his head somehow on the wall and screams.
Liter sits!
Mom takes care of B.- dinner time...nummy Peas!
Mom gets mad at Dad for teaching B. how to spit through his lips- B. likes to do this when it is time to eat.
Mom is covered in peas.
B. gets a biscuit while mom keeps cleaning liter.
Dad is HOME! YEAH! He laughs as he sees Brandon.
B. is covered in biscuit. Like he got hit with pie in the face.
Together mom and dad clean him up. He laughs.
Dinner time...really? Dinner? Steaks, rice, sweet potatoes. B. is napping.
Aaah...sit down for a first bite- B. wakes up screaming.
Tubby decides to knock over moms soda....lets see if mom spanks me again.
B.s in bed- in his crib- after a small fight.
Time for bed....1am! YEAH! OH...the bed...still not totally clean.
Dad cleans it the right way.
B's awake. Mom feeds him.
Towel over the wet spot- Mom needs sleep. It isn't bad. Sleepy time....2am
The closet collapses. My clothes are everywhere. The rod fell and my clean, ironed clothes are on a pile.
Mom cleans them up.
BED!!!
Sunday:
Dad cares for B. so mom sleeps until 10am. Thanks Dad
Dad leaves for work.
Mom and B. cuddle- nice!
B. falls asleep.
Mom gets ready for the day.
Much better morning!
Visit dad at work for a new closet unit. Can't find what we need.
Dad joins us for lunch again.
The weather is much better.
B. doesn't want to nap today.
Mom and B. go to the grocery store. B. sits in the cart for the first time. He does well.
B. screams the last 15 minutes of the store. He wants to eat moms grocery list...nummy paper.
Moms bags open as she puts them in the car. Groceries everywhere.
Home- B. is mad. Mom unloads car. B. needs to sleep. Time to try the swing. He is asleep!
Mom cleans the kitchen, puts groceries away and feels the need to cook for everyone.
Tuna noodle casserole and home made mac and cheese for Mindy and Maria at work....
Others need something too- AH....sloppy joes for everyone!
I want that pie in the magaizine...nummy! All made!
Ash jumps on counter to get moms attention that he has a very bad eye that is draining.
4 dishes made....Dad is home!
Laundry to do...a total of 12 loads this weekend.
Mom keeps going with her closet. Mom goes to sleep around 1am!
B. falls asleep in his crib on his own! He wakes up twice during the night.
Ash wakes up mom over and over- his eye half shut. He always goes to mom when he isn't well.
Monday Morning
We survived the weekend....not totally!
Electricity goes out.
B. pees again all over mom-after she is dressed.
Tubby and Allie fight and run into mom again (under her feet- ouch)
Leave for daycare/work- get stuck behind a car that stalls.
B. is at daycare. He is good to go...forgot the money for daycare lady! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
FINALLY at work and glad I am here.
I never thought I would look forward to a Monday!

Other New things in B.s life
So he is growing SO much and SO quickly....here are some more new and exciting things.
1- He sits up unsupported and on his own. He learned this really quickly. He took a few tumbles and now he corrects himself rather quickly.
2- He is eating baby food as well as biscuits. He tried a small piece of pumpkin bread- it was funny. He LOVES pickles. He gets to suck on them.
3- No teeth yet, but they are ready to pop out any day now.
4- He enjoyed his first Halloween as a cow. He was a trooper that day going all over town to see grandparents and aunties and friends.
5- We have raised his exersaucer he is always in because he is getting tall. He loves being in that thing and can make it move- he is learning how to walk.
6- He still fits in his Bumbo seat but not for long. He has learned how to reach for things. He likes to sit in the kitchen when I cook and play with the magnets on the fridge.
7- He is starting to lean when he wants someone else to hold him. When I pick him up from daycare he leans for me to take him.
8- He isn't making words yet but he puts noises together to talk. He loves to talk. He is going to take after his father and be a talker.
9- He LOVES water. He will have no fear of water. He is out of his baby tub now and into the big tub. I haven't boughten a 'conversion' tub because I just want him to learn how to sit in a normal tub. He has taken a few headers in the tub and the other day he was under water for 2 whole seconds. I lifted him up and he did a little giggle and a smile. He was initially scared but that turned around.
10- He can sense feelings of others and take their cues. If you react negatively then he will react negatively. So if he falls over and starts crying- we will react positively and with a smile and that everything is okay. Then he stops and laughs too. If we react like we are panicky and scared that brings him on even more.
11- He is getting a little of a stranger freight. This is typical at this age. He doesn't cry when he is dropped of at daycare or Gmas or some places. But if he sees a new person sometimes he gets scared. Then we laugh at him and he stops.
Those are some simple updates of Brandon. He has grown so fast!

Update
Hello all- Just a quick update on B.
He is entering almost a toddler phase. I look at him lately and he doesn't look like a baby anymore. He had a stomach bug last week where he would have 10-12 BM's a day. Poor kid his bottom turned fire engine red and broke open. He is doing much better now. He is still at 17 pounds and 28 inches. He is still eating well and drinking well. We are upgrading him to a sippy cup already too.
Other important items or favorites:
Favorite food: Cool Whip (the small amt I have given him) real food he likes Sweet Potatoes.
Favorite sound: High pitch screeching (almost like a teenage girl)
Favorite toy: Moms glasses or hair, the lap top, cell phone, or digital camera.
Favorite person: Who ever will give him attention. He hates being in a room alone. He wants anyone and everyone to give him attention- even the cable guys. His utmost favorite person though is DAD! HE IS ALL ABOUT DAD!!!
Favorite sleeping spot: On the couch, next to dad
Favorite animal: He is playing more and more with the cats. He knows they exist and that they are live creatures. He also loves his cousin Hudson.
Favorite activity: Being outside- going for walks- looking at leaves and trees
Favorite clothing: His socks because he can pull them off and on.
Favorite song: You Are My Sunshine will put him to sleep (remember that) and he loves 'I'm Bringin' Home A Baby Bumble Bee'. He does patty cake too.
Favorite thing that makes him laugh: Crazy Auntie Nicky. He also likes to be tickled, his toy worm getting his tummy or just playing with dad.
Favorite time of day: Morning- he is the most well behaved or bath time- he has learned how to splash and get us all wet.
